Yup, it’s better to weigh yourself upon waking rather than later in the day because that’s when you’ll get the most accurate reading on the scale. So weigh yourself when you get out of bed. Also, make sure to use the bathroom and not to eat or drink anything before stepping on the scale!
As for why that approach provides a more accurate reading, the reason is simple. By the time you wake up, your body will have digested and processed everything you ate and drank the day before. So then when you get out of bed and weigh yourself after using the bathroom and without eating or drinking anything, the scale will only read what you weigh at that present moment without extra fluids, digesting food, or bodily waste factoring into the equation.
