To stretch or do an exercise on the ground, you can lie down on the heavily trafficked floor that’s teeming with the germs and particles from the bathroom and elsewhere that people track on their shoes.

Or you can lie down on an exercise mat that everyone uses, if you can even find one.

Or you can bring your own.

Choose very, very wisely!1Yoga mats are now used synonymously to mean exercise mats but they’re not the same. Exercise mats are thicker to provide more cushioning for floor-based activity. Compare that to yoga mats, which are much thinner and made for traction as you perform yoga poses.
