Weight Loss Tip: no.4808
Wait before going back for more helpings of food.
Care to guess why?
Yup, there should be a wait period between portions because it takes time for the brain to receive satiety signals from the stomach that you’re full. The amount of time it takes for that communication to take place is approximately 15-20 minutes and eating before then can increase the chance of overeating and taking in more calories than are needed. So pause for 15-20 minutes after eating and if you’re still hungry, then that’s a good sign that you didn’t get enough food with your first helping, to which you should go get seconds.
