Work Out To Music

Certain songs and tempos can make exercise more tolerable by reducing the perception of pain and fatigue and providing a distraction from feelings of boredom. Music also has the benefit of elevating mood and provoking strong emotions that can increase motivation so you feel more energized while performing a given activity. It’s by those two means that music has the ability to help with your intensity and endurance so you can work out harder and longer, which can contribute to burning more calories and building more muscle, among other things.

NOTE: Not everyone will get amped up to the music that moves you and as superior as your taste in music is to everybody else’s, not everyone wants to hear the tunes you’re vibing to. So if working out in a public space among other people, then listen to your music with headphones instead of playing it out loud from your phone or through portable speakers.1Headphones are a piece of electronic equipment that consist of a band that’s worn over the top of the head to hold cups in place that go over or around your ears. Within the headphone category are small individual units that insert inside the ear canal or are worn just outside of it, as is the case with earphones and earbuds, respectively. All are tiny speakers that deliver sound directly into the ear via a wired or wireless connection to a device like a CD player or smartphone so the audio source can be listened to privately instead of getting emitted into the open air for everybody to hear. They’re truly wonderful inventions if you haven’t heard of them yet! It’s a different story when working out from the comfort of your home. In that situation, go ahead and blast that ABBA however you see fit!
